The regulator did not impose a 10 per cent tax on freelancers against their earnings from overseas, Bangladesh Bank spokesperson and Executive Director Mezbaul Haque said.
Speaking to The Business Post on Saturday, he added, “There have been many media reports regarding this issue. It should be noted that the recent central bank circular was issued for the service sector, and it does not include freelancers who earn remittance.”
