DHAKA, Dec 24, 2025 (BSS) – The government has issued the gazette of the “President, Prime Minister or Chief Adviser and Very Important Persons Security Rules 2025”, which was formulated to ensure the security of the President, Prime Minister, Chief Adviser and other very very important persons (VVIPs).

The Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) issued the gazette, signed by Secretary M Saifullah Panna, to this end on Tuesday as per the President’s order.

According to the gazette, the rules will come into immediate effect. Through the new rules, the security management of the highest level persons of the state has been brought under a well-organised, modern and clear legal framework.

The rules have detailed the responsibilities, structure and duties of the concerned forces and organisations to ensure the security of the President, the Prime Minister, the Chief Adviser and other very important persons in their movement, residence, workplace, event venues and during their visits, the gazette read.

The rules have been formulated considering the recent security challenges and realities. It is expected that through the new rules , it will be possible to make the overall law and order system more effective and strong apart from ensuring security of important state persons.

The relevant sources confirmed that a notification containing necessary explanations and detailed instructions in this regard will be published separately later.
