The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the due date for filing income tax returns till January 1.
The previous deadline was December 31. However, the last two days of the year are a weekend, so the deadline was extended for a day, Shahin Akter, member (Tax Administration and HRM), NBR, confirmed to the Business Post.
Earlier, on November 30, NBR extended the deadline by one month in response to requests from various quarters.
