A fire that broke out at a Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya upazila this afternoon has been brought under control.
The fire originated at the camp around 2:45pm, said Emdadul Haque, duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room in Chattogram.
On information, 10 firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 5:00pm, said Fire Service sources.
No casualty was reported.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
Local sources said over 100 homes at Block A, B and D of the camp have been burnt in the incident.
