Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) on Sunday announced to decrease the prices of gold by Tk 1,749 per bhori (11.664g).
The association reduced the prices as the rate of pure gold went down in the local market, read a press release, adding that the revised prices will be effective from Monday.
From now on, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 96,695, which was Tk 98,444 per bhori previously.
According to the new price, 21-carat has been decreased by Tk 1,633 to Tk 92,320 down from Tk 93,953 per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has gone down by Tk 1,400 to Tk 79,140, which was Tk 80,540 per bhori previously. And traditional gold price has been decreased by Tk 1,166 to Tk 65,960 down from Tk 67,126 per bhori.
Unlike gold, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 1,715 per bhori.
