DHAKA, May 3,2026 (BSS) – Kazi Emdadul Hoque, a former Tax Commissioner of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).
Hoque also a senior officer of the 7th batch of BCS (Tax) cadre played an important role in developing the country’s economic and administrative structure as a former President of the Taxes Appellate Tribunal, according to a BSTI release here today.
He served as the Private Secretary to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications from 2001 to 2004.
He secured first class first in M.Sc. from the Department of Soil, Water and Environment, University of Dhaka. His research-based book ‘Black Money’ is a much-discussed book.
