DHAKA, June 4, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 25,377 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims have returned home from Saudi Arabia as of Wednesday following the completion of this year’s Hajj held on June 26.
“A total of 62 return flights were operated by three designated carriers. Of them, 19 by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 24 by Saudia Airlines and 19 by Flynas Airlines,” an official said here.
Hajj office said so far, 2,500 Hajis returned under government management, while 22,877 under private travel agencies arrangements in 62 flights.
The tragic information is a total of 45 Bangladeshi pilgrims have passed away in Saudi Arabia during Hajj with 29 males and 16 females. Of them, 34 died in Makkah and 11 in Madinah, while no deaths were reported in Jeddah, Mina, or Muzdalifah.
Besides, a total 251 Hajis received treatment from various hospitals in Saudi Arabia due to diseases, while 17 Hajis were hospitalized.
Saudi Arabian medical centre provided treatment to 55,286, while IT help desk gave services to 25,100 Hajis in Makkah and Madinah.
This year’s Hajj operations began with the first outbound flight on April 18 and concluded on May 21.
The return Hajj flights resumed operation on May 30 and will continue until June 30.
