A three days international ceramic exposition and seminar will be held in the capital from November 24th onwards, to give a worldwide exposure to the country’s ceramic manufacturers and exporters in order to enable them to seize a larger share of the global market with their international standard products.

Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) is organizing the ceramic exhibition titled “Ceramic Expo Bangladesh-2022” from 24th to 26th November at the International Convention City Bashundhara, ICCB, Kuril Bishaw Road, Dhaka for the third time in the country since 2017.

The exhibition will host 90 exhibitors and 200 brands from over 15 countries this year. The exhibition will be spread out over a 15,000 sqm fairground at ICCB and is expected to be visited by over 300 delegates from different countries making it one of the largest ceramic exhibitions in all of South Asia.

This year the expo will be more exciting and eventful. Among the many exclusive features of Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2022 are the 5 seminars on relevant and crucial issues of the Ceramic industry in Bangladesh. The expo will offer a promising platform for B2B and B2C meetings for exhibitors and visitors. There will even be a Job Fair for individuals looking to work in the booming ceramics industry in Bangladesh. There will be Award Ceremonies to recognize the best exhibitors for their creativity and engagement. There will be raffle draws and exclusive gifts at each hall for the exhibitors and visitors.

Today, Md. Sirajul Islam Mollah, President of BCMEA, and Irfan Uddin, General Secretary of BCMEA revealed this at a grand press conference making the official declaration of the event at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity.

Shirajul Islam Mollah added that the ceramic industry is one of the fastest-rising manufacturing industries in Bangladesh. The sector has experienced 200% growth and a 20% increase in investment in the last 10 years. The industry now has more than 70 manufacturers and investment in this sector is now about 1.7 Billion USD. The industry now exports to more than 50 countries including the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Thailand, China, India, and many more. The industry brings about an export earning of over 50 Million USD after meeting 85% of the local demand.

“Ceramic industry of Bangladesh is a booming sector and the growth potential of it in both domestic and international markets indicate it may become one of the biggest foreign exchange earners for the country,” the BCMEA President said.

During the fair, he said manufacturers, exporters and suppliers will gain global exposure for their new products, modern technologies and reflect the latest designs, creating a new image as well as adding great value to their brand all over the world from a single platform with the provision of making spot orders.

Registration and entry to the exhibition will be free and the gates will remain open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm all three days of the event.

On 24th November, the inauguration of the exhibition will be done at ICCB by the Honourable Minister, Tipu Munshi, MP, Ministry of Commerce. The closing of the event will be done with an Exhibitor’s Night at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden and will be graced by the Honourable Advisor to the Prime Minister on Private Industry and Investment, Salman F. Rahman, MP.
