The country’s inflation has slightly dropped to 8.85 per cent in November, which was 8.91 per cent in October, Planning Minister MA Mannan said on Monday.
The minister disclosed the monthly inflation data for November at a press conference at his office in the capital.
Bangladesh’s inflation reached 9.5 per cent in August due to rising commodity prices and record hikes in fuel prices. But, it declined to 9.1 per cent in September.
According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), food inflation in November reached 8.14 per cent, down from 8.50 per cent in October.
Non-food inflation in the last month stood at 9.98 per cent, which was 9.58 per cent in October, the BBS data said.
