PRAN, the leading food processor in Bangladesh, is working to increase the export of food products across the globe especially in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. In this connection, the group is exhibiting its products at Gulf food-2023, one of largest food fairs in the world.
This year, PRAN is displaying around 500 products at the five-day long Gulf Food Fair which started on Monday at Dubai World Trade Center in UAE.
Traders of food and beverages from every corner of the globe participate in the fair every year. This year, more than 5000 exhibitors from over 120 countries are exhibiting their products and services. The world’s leading food manufacturers and marketers including are participating at the fair.
Mizanur Rahman, Executive Director of PRAN Export said, The Gulf fair is very important for food processors. Traders and buyers come to the fair for gathering knowledge about new products and services in the sector. Manufacturers meet with the distributors as well as get informed about the consumer’s demand. Big companies come here to understand the consumer’s behaviors and food habits.
He also said, PRAN has been participating in the fair since 2013. On an average four hundred importers from various countries usually visit PRAN’s stall every year. This time, PRAN is exhibiting its products in various categories including juice and beverage, biscuit and bakery, snacks, confectionary, spices and culinary, and frozen foods.
This year, PRAN is also giving focus on some products including basil drinks, drinko float, litchi drink, mango juice, spices, cream biscuit, wafer, chocolate, loly pop, noodles and frozen foods, he further added.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director (Marketing) of PRAN-RFL Group said, PRAN is focusing Africa, Middle East, America, Australia and south Asian markets and sets target to export USD 400 million in 2023. PRAN is participating in the fair with its new products and services to meet its target. It will give concentration to develop communication with the importers and try to grab the new markets.
